Nunzio Tramontozzi is a member of the Toronto Police Service. His career spans 29 years, dating back to July 19, 1988. Nunzio started his career as uniform officer in 14 Division in Toronto.
He transferred to 21 Division in 1993 where he did the majority of his work as an investigator in the Criminal Investigative Bureau. Nunzio was responsible in conducting criminal investigations such as domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse and property crimes.
In December 1998, he moved to the Drug Squad where he was an investigator and undercover officer. Nunzio was involved in numerous multi-jurisdictional operations that spanned across Canada.
He was transferred to 23 Division in 2002, where he worked in the Major Crime Unit investigating violent crimes such as armed robberies and gang related shootings.
In 2004, he went to the Hold-Up Squad where he investigated retail robberies.
In 2006, Nunzio was promoted to sergeant and was transferred to 11 Division where he supervised a platoon of uniform officers.
He returned to the Hold-Up Squad as a Detective in 2007 and was responsible for investigating retail and bank robberies.
In 2014, he was promoted to Detective Sergeant and was transferred to Sex Crimes to take over the Human Trafficking Enforcement Team. Nunzio is the Officer in Charge of the team and supervises the Human Trafficking investigations that occur in Toronto and the GTA.
